Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his first title for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and eventually parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks his first trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface after spring of that year.
The win also signifies the Russian has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six championship matches, including in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on court had prompted some to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was finished.
But the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an improved service.
He came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional championship, took control to create a final set.
Moutet saved 4 early-game chances in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
